SmartDevTools (this website) is owned and operated by SmarTech Apps (smartechapps.com). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use this site and how it is handled.
1. How SmartDevTools Works
SmartDevTools is a collection of browser-based developer utilities. With the exceptions noted below, all processing happens entirely in your browser — text, JSON, and other data you paste or type into these tools is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.
- REST API Tester / cURL Builder / Fetch URL tools send requests directly from your browser to the URL(s) you specify. We do not see or store those requests.
- DNS Lookup queries a public third-party DNS-over-HTTPS API (Google Public DNS) to resolve the domain you enter.
- Thread Dump / Heap Dump Analyzer can optionally connect to a backend service (self-hosted by you or provided separately) if you choose to use the upload feature; data is not sent anywhere unless you explicitly configure and use that feature.
2. Local Storage & Cookies
We use your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember your preferences, such as:
- Light/dark theme selection
- Accent color theme selection
- Sidebar collapsed/expanded state
This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
3. Advertising & Third-Party Cookies
This site displays advertisements served by third-party vendors, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (and similar technologies such as web beacons and local storage) to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
